About Me

“Everything takes time. Bees have to move very fast to stay still.”
David Foster Wallace, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men

Alan Titcombe is a photographer, based in Westbury, England — but I'll take any opportunity to travel!

When I'm not taking bee photos, you'll find me working at my day job, exploring national parks or the National Trust, or spending time with my family.

My current work focuses on capturing moments in time for bees, whether it's ultra close up, with flash or using available light.

Always experimenting with new techniques, I'm equally comfortable with analog and digital technologies, and use both according to the needs of the project.
